A new window will open up; if you don’t see an option labeled File at the top left corner of your screen, click File > Add/Remove Snap-in…and select Manage Snap-ins from Active Directory. Click Next, and in Available snap-ins, choose Group Policy Object Editor and click Add.
- Click Finish and OK when finished. This will add a Group Policy Object Editor tool to your list of available snap-ins. Click OK again and close any other windows that may have opened during the installation process.
Configuration
Using it is simple, but there are a few basic configurations you’ll need to make before using it. To start;
- Go into your system and click on Administration.
- Then, go down to Solution Management and click on Configure System. You can set up a few basic configurations that will allow you to get started using Solution Manager.
- First, go to Overview, then Configuration Settings.
- Finally, select Workflow Engine Configuration. This will take you to a page you will configure which workflow engine you want to use. In most cases, it’s recommended that you leave these settings at their default values.
- Next, go back to Overview, then Configuration Settings, and select Process Monitoring Configuration. Here, you can enable/disable process monitoring for each module in your system. You can also specify how many days of data you want to keep and how often you want to refresh your data.
- Finally, go back to Overview, Configuration Settings, and select Business Service Monitoring Configuration. Again, you can enable/disable business service monitoring for each module in your system. You can also specify how many days of data you want to keep and how often you want to refresh your data.

SAP solution manager is available for free and downloaded from SAP’s website. You need a license from SAP to use it in production.
