The Going Global Activity Guide: A Project to Educate and Involve American Students in Global Hunger Issues has won five major awards.
Written by Gene White, RD and Maria Balakshin, MA of Nutri-Tech, Inc., Going Global was edited by Annette Dennis McCully of McCully Technical Services, and designed and illustrated by Betty Hageman of Betty Hageman Graphic Design.
Developed for the United Nations, Going Global was reviewed by the World Food Programme in Rome, the American School Food Service Association, and the American School Food Service Foundation (ASFA). The colorful activity guide will be used by food service professionals and volunteers in teaching middle school students about world hunger and how they can help.
